Backyard Shed: the Foundation

It's amazing how many house projects we have on our to do list even though we bought a new house. On the top of our list right now we have: making screens that will block 80% of the sun this summer, building a shed in the backyard, and tiling our family room. I wish we could have a week or so with no work and a babysitter for Ethan to knock these out.

Two weeks ago Gary came over and he and Mike got started on the shed. We need to get our yard stuff out of the garage so that we have room for Ethan's toys and Mike's car. They spend Friday evening planning, and Saturday working on the foundation.

I had a Primary activity in the morning, but when I got home, this is where they were:

We are building the shed on blocks like this so that water can still drain into our front yard like it is supposed to. Placing the blocks was very time consuming because these guys are precise with all their leveling, etc. Gary's experience in building and Mike's engineering know-how make me completely confident that this will turn out great.
