Asher Overload

 Guess who is 9 months?
Asher got up at 5:40am, so I decided to squeeze in some quick pictures before Ethan woke up.  Not ideal back drop or lighting, but when the sun isn't up yet, I just have to make do.
Using my legs to stand up.
Asher pulls to stand on everything now.
I've broken my no toys upstairs rule and brought a few things up for Asher.  He spends a lot of time with this box that Grandpa and Grandma got Benton a few years ago.

He is also an expert crawler and loves exploring.
He is so cute to watch with his wide arms and feet that slide over each other as he crawls.

He loves staring at light fixtures.

And here are some pictures from my phone.
Such a happy shopper!
He's not a big eater.  Blueberries, and many other things, elicit sour faces.
I am less pleased with the spit up.
 Thank goodness for a gate!
Trying to see the book while I read to the big boys at dinner.

Still a good size for snuggling.
 Exploring!

I love when he holds his feet.

He crawled into the shower while I was in there one day.  I went out to get my phone and take this picture of him all soaked.

This outlet plug is not so baby proof.  He likes to crawl over and pull it out to use like a pacifier.

Asher is still so sweet.  He is about to get his top two teeth, so he has more fussy moments, but he is so fun to have around and very loved!

Oh, and 4 more I found from when Asher was 7 months.  When he was about that age, pretty much every time we threw him in the air he would bend his body to the side like he was trying to touch his elbow to his knee.  It was really funny, but hard to capture.

Lately

I've been doing more running lately as I prepare for the Ragnar.  I don't bring a camera on my prettiest runs, but this one was pretty good.
The boys are with me on quite a few of my runs.  This weekend, when I did three runs in 24 hours, the whole family came.  The two little guys were in the stroller, Ethan biking, and Mike on roller blades.  Mike was nice enough to carry Benton's bike so that while we were on the walking path away from traffic Benton could get out and ride his bike.

One Saturday, the boys and I hit Enchanted Island with our POGO passes.  Turns out Saturdays aren't included on the pass, but after escalating through a few levels of management, we got an exception.  It takes too much effort for me to get everyone out of the house to just turn around and go back!

I was trying to capture the sunset and silhouette of the palm trees.  It was very pretty.  The other side was the Phoenix skyline.

We put hardware throughout the house recently.  We meaning I ordered them and Mike installed them.  I'm looking forward to much less grimy cabinets.

On MLK Jr. Day, we went to Pump It Up.  Everyone either fell asleep or dozed in and out on the way home: success!
Mike and I went shopping for his birthday and spent our Christmas money.  He finally found a suit he likes!
The Costco chocolate cake he wanted.
Our friends brought hats and maps back from LegoLand for the boys.  We are going this summer and they enjoyed planning what they want to do.

I recently started using Jamberry nail wraps. I love having my toenails done, but am too cheap for pedicures and when I paint my own nails, it chips off quickly, especially with running.  Jamberry solves all those problems.  I wanted to do Valentine nails, so I invited anyone on our Girls Night Out page who wanted to join in to chip in and come over for a nail party.  We had about 15 people participate!
I plan on doing this for more holidays in the future!
Turns out it is next to impossible to get all the boys looking at me, looking normal, and modest in a bath picture.  This was the best I could do.
After lots of hemming and hawing and researching, and saving my birthday money and money from an extra project at work, I ordered this custom security enclosure.  I'm super excited to be able to let air through my front door without letting kids out or bugs in.  It is also more secure and closes off a small front porch area.  This door is 9ft by 4+ft.

The installation process wreaked havoc on my family picture wall (2 or 3 frames are on the floor).

You can see that the enclosure is set back from the front door.
It looks cool at night with the porch light on.

Laveen does a community parade the first Saturday of every February.  Ethan was at a birthday party, so the little boys and I went.

All tuckered out on the bike ride home.
I hosted a Love/Valentine themed book club on Monday.
We colored.

Did a heart hunt and hopscotch.
 Made Valentines.
 Made playdough.
 Jello Jigglers

And played with Playdough.
