November

For one of my ComTrans races we did a color run. Kids were free, so I got to bring Ethan with me. He did great running the whole 5k happily.

He stayed in his colorful clothes while we went to Heritage to see the Junior High production of Lion King.

I got the boys slippers. Asher's are sharks. I ended up exchanging Ethan and Benton's (Mario and Minion) for Beanie Boo slippers (rainbow kitties and unicorns).

I asked my friends to come to my class for my birthday and a lot of them showed up; it was fun!

I won a night at the Princess Resort, so we tried taking the whole family for my birthday. It ended up being really fun, especially at the end when we were all playing catch in the pool. We were wishing we didn't have a group date to get back to!

We did a movie night and then put on Fantasia until they fell asleep.

There was a hallway to a closet and bathroom. In the morning we gave them tablets in the closet so we could sleep in. Someday they will sleep in, but until then, this is a pretty good compromise that lets us sleep in.

That night our book club, with husbands, and other friends, went to see Murder on the Orient Express. Our friend Mandy and her husband both had their birthday that day, but Mandy had broken her neck in a car accident the week before. She was really sad to miss the movie, but we got dinner and dessert and brought it back to her rehab facility.

They barely stayed awake on the way to the car...

and didn't last much longer.

Working on the porch is also awesome and gives me a great tan line around my calf/shin since most days I'm wearing workout capris.

Headed to a Laurel Presidency meeting at sunrise. We meet on Fridays at 7am after seminary because they don't have school.

I took Asher to the playground by myself and he had a great time. He is strong enough for monkey bars, but scared to do them alone.

Ethan and I finished Wonder and went to see the movie. It was awesome and Ethan loves the one on one time.

We go to the Children's Museum every Tuesday, cute boys.

For Thanksgiving we went to the Hanshaw's in California. On Thanksgiving morning Asher woke up early so I gave him an iPad and went out for a run (I had run a Turkey Trot the previous 8 years). I took a lot of selfies trying to catch the beautiful view, but it was so much prettier in person.

Everyone went to a park for a Turkey Bowl and to play at a playground. Rachelle and I got to go on a walk/jog as well.

After Thanksgiving dinner, we spent the day enjoying the pool. That is my kind of Thanksgiving activity!

We also went to Santa Monica and rode bikes, got pizza, and hung out at the beach.

There was a park with gymnastics equipment. Asher loved it and freaked out some Chinese grandmas when he flipped around a bar.

My side of the family decided to have the cousins do a gift exchange for Christmas. The rest of the cousins were together, so they opened the gifts then. We were supposed to Facetime, but had trouble coordinating, so we just took videos and sent them to each other.
