Ethan had 2 weeks of Fall Break in October. We spent most of that time in Missouri, but this post will be about the rest of the time.
After Fall Break, we took a preschool field trip to the Desert Botanical Garden to finish up our unit on plants and gardening. My neighbor joined us too.
Halloween decorating happened.
We got a big rainstorm that the boys loved, of course!
Asher was a little trouble maker, still.
Asher causes a lot of trouble getting up on the island, so this is how our chairs are most of the time.
The first day of Fall Break Ethan made pictures for his teacher. He missed school over the break!I'll miss these days with little kids.
For a fair amount of time, all three were completely engaged in a quiet activity.
Asher is a pain to feed, at least compared to Benton who ate amazing amounts at every meal. One thing Asher will eat a lot of, though, is scrambled eggs.
We love Legos around here! This is how I kept Ethan quiet during General Conference.
I switched out all the boys clothes so we could be prepare for the cool Missouri weather. The process took me at least 5 hours.
Asher came to LOVE buckles. If we couldn't find him, he were pretty sure to discover him out in the van buckling his car seat.
I sometimes brought Asher's car seat to keep him happy and near by.
Buckled: sad. Unbuckled: happy.
Grandpa Joe and Grandma Dianne got Ethan a soccer and Lego set. He plays soccer every day at school and is really into it this year.
When we got back from Missouri I started a new tradition: Mountain Monday. Every Monday since I have taken the two little ones hiking.
Ethan has gotten much more into reading. He still doesn't start reading on his own, but once he starts, it is hard for him to put the book down. This is him trying to come in after school.
More Legos! These Mixels are one of their favorites. You buy three sets and then you can look up instructions online to put them all together as a "Max" or mix sets of different colors. Benton will spend hours on these.
Ethan's set from Grandpa.
A new favorite shirt!
Running in AZ is beautiful.
Asher loves books too!
Our birthday present to Ethan was to take him to a used video game store to buy loose Legos so he can build whatever he wants (so far he only had sets). They mostly loved the minifigure bins.
We were all ninjas for Halloween.
Old pictures I found while pulling up high school pictures for an old teacher's retirement book. I kept these out to remind me why I exercise!
Ethan's first grade picture.
Benton likes to point out Daddy's office.
Our next preschool unit was on butterflies. Here the kids are using playdough to make the life cycle of a butterfly.
We got caterpillars and watched the whole process.
I'm teaching Benton to pedal so he can ride a big boy bike.
Halloween preschool activities included Don't Eat Pete. The kids loved it!
Asher got to color for the first time and loved it.
